Most VLSI and semiconductor interview questions floating around online are copy-pasted across a dozen sites, written once and never updated as tools, flows, and interview styles have moved on. Meanwhile, the people who actually know what a Physical Design or Verification interview looks like today — working engineers — rarely have the time or platform to teach.
VLSI Beginners connects the two sides directly. We build free, structured question banks across Verilog, SystemVerilog, RTL Design, FPGA, ASIC Design, Physical Design, STA, and DFT — written at three depth levels, from foundational concepts to the kind of scenario and debug questions that actually come up in a real interview loop. On top of that, we bring in working semiconductor professionals to run mock interviews and workshops, so preparation doesn't stop at reading questions — it includes being questioned, live, by someone who does the job.

Question banks are developed in-house and reviewed against real interview patterns reported by our mentor network. Ebooks are questions-only by design — no answers, no explanations — because the goal is to build the habit of thinking through a problem out loud, the way an interview actually works, rather than memorizing a written answer.
Every mentor on the platform is a current or recently working semiconductor industry professional, not a full-time trainer. We look for people who are still close to what interview panels are actually asking right now, and who are willing to give direct, specific feedback rather than generic encouragement.
